RVS Certification Training
We are authorized to administer the New York State Wildlife Rehabilitation Council’s ABRIDGED ONLINE CERTIFICATION COURSE for those who wish to attain their RVS Assistant License
As the Chair of the NYSWRC RVS Committee, Gordon Wildlife’s Executive Director Sarah Bookbinder is authorized to administer this certification course to those wishing to become licensed as RVS Assistants to volunteer under the direction of Class II RVS wildlife rehabilitators in Class II facilities.
This course is offered on demand, and is taken independently at the user’s own pace. It should take an hour or less to complete.

Note: Licensed RVS Assistants must be vaccinated against rabies. They are licensed to work in Class II RVS facilities under the supervision of a Class II RVS rehabilitator only and will not be licensed to work independently. Completion of this certification course is one of the prerequisites for obtaining a license. It is not the license itself.
