Volunteer

 

Fundraising & Development

Create, develop and oversee specific projects or participate in general fundraising efforts

 

Professional Expertise

Construction, electrician, plumber, light fabrication. Create enrichment, help with repairs and small caging builds

Rabies Vector Species Assistant

Hands on experience helping to raise and rehabilitate the raccoons. Requires current rabies titer and certificate of completion of DEC RVS course. Contact us for more information.

 

Outreach

Get the word out on social media and in the press. Help us bring the plight of the orphaned raccoon to the public eye.

Grant Writing

Research, locate and help write grants and complete reporting

 

Landscaping & Forestry

Cleanup and maintenance of 50+ acre wooded habitat.

 

Crafting

Create hammocks, cage liners, enrichment toys and other items

Education

Help us develop presentations for various youth groups and college programs

Transport

Drive animals to and from our facility. Run errands.

 

Please note that because New York State classifies raccoons as a Rabies Vector Species, any position that involves physically interacting with the animals will require proof of current rabies vaccination. If you are not currently vaccinated but are interested in learning more about the vaccine series requirements and related expenses please contact us.
